NEW MULTI-USE SPORTS & RECREATION HUB

The Parua Bay & Districts Community Centre have resolved to build a new multiuse Sports and Recreation Hub on its land at 1341 Whangarei Heads Road.  The proposal includes a new community hub designed to meet the growing needs of the local community. While extensive independent needs reporting and user group consultation has already been carried out, the committee also invites the wider community to provide feedback.   An overview and copies of the proposal are available to view below.

12/2/25 UPDATE - Thanks to all those who submitted feedback regarding the development - in general the support has been very positive.  The development investigations/ planning will now progress to engineering reporting after which a prelimnary budget for the development can be established.  

While feedback on the initial proposal has now closed we actively welcome community engagement in this project so our feedback form remains open below.
